Can I use a defibrillator on a person who is wearing a bra?. Yes, it is safe to use a defib on someone wearing a bra, including those with underwire or metal clasps - evidence shows this does not interfere with defibrillation or cause burns to the skin. Be sure to place the pads directly on bare skin underneath the bra. Further information in document attached.
